...that Ubuntu is the better operating system is to dual boot a computer or better still, for mobility, a laptop or netbook.

1. Introduce it to your non-believer, start it up and show how easy it is to select between operating systems.
2. Go to Windows and ask that person to surf the internet and go look up his/her email or go to a familiar websites.
3. Scroll fast. Open a few windows, change over fast, open applications, look up youtube.com and see how video clips perform.
4. Now that person has got a feel of Windows on that computer/laptop/netbook, immediately switch over to Ubuntu.
5. Do the same places before.
6. Ask to compare between the two operating system.

I'm betting that the answer will be "Yes". I have done this before so many times and the answer has ALWAYS been "Yes!" Once they acknowledge that the hardware is the same, the only difference being the operating system where they are doing it hands-on not from hear-say, you will find many are surprised there is such a big difference in performance between Windows and Ubuntu. If they are regular surfers or merely read emails, you can tell them they will never regret using Ubuntu and you may have just "converted" someone to Ubuntu.
